First day of work- Dr. Pierre (secondary principal), me and Mike- School leadership team

We’ve settled into a rhythm with our jobs at GWA. Last week we finished our first full week of school with students and staff. I’m enjoying my position as the Director of Teaching and Learning and the creative aspects of it, while there’s plenty of work to be done and systems to build, it’s a much slower pace. I also find that I’m sleeping through the night and taking time to eat lunch every day. The meals are all made fresh each day- last week I had grilled salmon with a cream sauce, and stuffed peppers- the food is quite good. 

Mike is also enjoying his position and met with all 60 staff in the primary school last week. I think people have appreciated us being here and the energy and ideas we’re bringing.
