It’s hard to believe we haven’t written a reflection since April; then again, our life was incredibly full as we hosted visitors and closed out the school year. I’d intended to write a blog in May, capturing the year, but headed back to the States early to support my mom and Sean.
We were blessed with travellers last year, counting 34 visitors from December to May. Our grand plan was to expose friends and family to a new landscape while creating an inviting and welcoming space for others. To this end, I feel this was accomplished.
In May and June, we welcomed the Petersons, Roth girls (Jamie, Avery, and Brynn), and the Staples. They all tiptoed into a bit of Moroccan culture, experiencing the erratic driving, seaside sunsets, Moroccan food, Habous, Hassein Mosque, and some of the Kepplers' lifestyle here in Morocco. We even set out for a long weekend in Tangier with the Roths.
